Personal Career & Interests

Babu Nafees Ahmed Ansari, son of Babu Feroze-ud-Din Ansari, was born on December 17, 1948 at Multan. He obtained the degree of M.A. (Urdu) in 1975 and that of LL.B. in 1970 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. A practising lawyer, who functioned as Lecturer, University Law College, Multan during 1972-77; as Deputy Mayor Municipal Corporation, Multan during 1979-83; as Member Provincial Council Punjab during 1981-82; as Member Majlis-e-Shoora, Pakistan during 1982-85; as Assistant Advocate-General, Punjab during 1988-94; and as Councillor Municipal Corporation, Multan during 1998. He has also served as Principal, Allama Iqbal Law College, Multan. He has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002. His father was Chairman Municipal Committee Multan during 1954-58; Senator during 1977 and Member National Assembly during 1985-88.
