Miss Talat Yaqub daughter of Mr Muhammad Yaqub was born on May 29, 1943 in Lahore. She obtained the degree of LL.B. in 1973 from Punjab University Law College, Lahore. She functioned as Justice, Lahore High Court, Lahore during 1994-1996. She has attended various International Conferences, held in Moscow (1987); Sweden (1989) and Sudan (1994). She has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002 against one of the seats reserved for women. Her sister, Begum Rehana Sarwar was Member Punjab Assembly/Parliamentary Secretary during 1972-77 and Member National Assembly/Federal Minister for Women Development during 1988-90.
