MINISTER FOR FINANCE to present the Annual Budget Statement for the year 2010-2011.
2. SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR 2009-2010
MINISTER FOR FINANCE to present the Supplementary Budget Statement for the year 2009-2010.
3. THE
MINISTER FOR FINANCE to introduce the Punjab Finance Bill 2010.
Summary of Proceedings

Background:-
The 18th session of the Punjab Assembly was summoned by the Governor Punjab for presentation of Annual Budget for the year 2010-11, and supplementary budget 2009-10.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Noor Muhammad followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) in persian by Mian Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani.
Condolence:-
The House offered fateha on the sad demise of mother of Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker Punjab Assembly, and father of Ch. Muhammad Akhlaq, MPA.
Panel of Chairmen:-
The Secretary Assembly announced the Panel of Chairmen for the session, as envisaged in Rule 13 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997. The names of the Panel, in order of precedence, are as under: −
(1) Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri , MPA (PP-154)
(2) Dr. Asma Mamdoot , MPA (W-363)
(3) Mr. Shahan Malik , MPA (PP-15)
(4) Engineer Shahzad Elahi , MPA (NM-371)
Oath of the Speaker: −
According to 3rd schedule of the constitution as amended under the 18th amendment of Constitution of the Pakistan Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan again took the oath of the Speaker before the house.
Oath:-
Members-elect Mr. Muhammad Ajmal Asif (PP-63), Mr. Ahmed Mujtaba Gillani (PP-206), Mr. Sardar Meer Badshah Qaisrani (PP-240) and Syed Basit Ahmed Sultan (PP-259) made oath as members of the Punjab Assembly and signed the Roll of Members. The Speaker administered the oath.
Presentation of Annual Budget Statement for the Year 2010-11
Mr Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Minister for Finance delivered his budget speech and presented the Annual Budget Statement for the year 2010-11.
Presentation of the Supplementary Budget Statement for the Year 2009-10
The Minister for Finance presented the Supplementary Budget Statement for the year 2010-11 and introduced the Finance Bill 2010 in the House.
As per schedule issued by the Assembly Secretariat, five days were fixed for general discussion on the budget to commence from June 17, 2010; therefore, on completion of the business of the day, the House was adjourned to meet on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
