Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Mr. Abid Rauf Qadri followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Hafiz Khalid Mahmood.
Question Hour:-
Questions relating to Local Government & Community Development Department were asked and Ch. Abdul Razzaq Dhillon, Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government & Community Development answered the questions.
Adjournment Motions:-
Five Adjournment Motions were taken up. Three Motions moved by Ms. Zobia Rubab Malik, regarding increase in the fares of Patriata Chair Lift, Murree, due to Excise duty raised from 25% to 60%, motion regarding delay in the completion of Sir Gangaram Hospital projects due to non-availability of funds and motion regarding non payment of salary to PWD employees, Sahiwal for the last four months were disposed of due to absence of mover. The Motion moved by Mian Tariq Mehmood regarding changing status from “Village Common-land” to “Village Grazing-land” of 2423 kanal located at Dinga, Gujrat by the Revenue Department, motion moved by Malik Saiful Malook Khokhar regarding construction of mosque at Hanjarwal Lahore by the Auqaf Department violating legal requirements in its construction were kept pending till next week.
The motions were answered by Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Laying of Report:-
Ms. Safina Saima Khar presented the report of Standing Committee on Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering before the House in respect of “Starred Question No. 1619* asked by Mian Naseer Ahmed”, MPA (PP-155) and Starred Question No. 2211* asked by Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan”, MPA (PP-66)”.
Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Reports:-
On a Motion moved by Ch. Tahir Mehmood Hundli Advocate, the House granted extension for one month to Standing Committee on Health to lay its reports on “Adjournment Motion No. 1038 of 2008 moved by Shaikh Allaud Din , MPA (PP-181) and Starred Question No. 2012* asked by Mian Muhammad Naveed Anjum, MPA (PP-145)”.
The House was then adjourned till 10:00 am on Thursday, January 13, 2011.
