Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Oath
Mr Muhammad Nasir Cheema, Member-elect from PP-97 made an oath and signed the Roll of Members. The Speaker administered the oath.
Extension in Time Limit for Laying the Reports
On a Motion moved by Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema, the House granted two months extension to the Standing Committee on Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering for laying its reports in respect of “Adjournment Motions No.237/14 and 728/14”.
On a Motion moved by Ch Faqeer Hussain Dogar, the House granted one month extension to the Standing Committee on Excise & Taxation for laying its report in respect of “Starred Question No. 2405/2014 moved by Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar, MPA (PP-271)”.
General Discussion on supplementary budget for the year 2014-15.
Dr. Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Minister for Finance presented supplementary budget 2014-15 with total fiscal outlay of about Rs.42.95 billion before the House, pleading that these expenditures were incurred over the above the approved budget in a situation of emergency during the preceding financial year due to flood in the province and that the government was on a mission to improve the growth rate. The following members participated in the general discussion on supplementary budget 2014-15: -

Abdul Razzaq Dhillon.
