(a)  RESOLUTIONS UNDER ARTICLE 128(2)(a) OF THE CONSTITUTION

1.   MOTION UNDER RULE 127 OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PUNJAB, 1997.

            A MINISTER to move that leave be granted to move a Resolution under Article 128(2)(a) of the Constitution for extension of the Punjab Drugs (Amendment) Ordinance 2015.

            A MINISTER to move the following Resolution:-

RESOLUTION

            “The Provincial Assembly of the Punjab extends the period of validity of the Punjab Drugs (Amendment) Ordinance 2015 (XX of 2015), promulgated on 6th August 2015, for a further period of ninety days with effect from 4th November 2015.”

2.   MOTION UNDER RULE 127 OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PUNJAB, 1997.

            A MINISTER to move that leave be granted to move a Resolution under Article 128(2)(a) of the Constitution for extension of the Punjab Drugs (Second Amendment) Ordinance 2015.

            A MINISTER to move the following Resolution:-

RESOLUTION

            “The Provincial Assembly of the Punjab extends the period of validity of the Punjab Drugs (Second Amendment) Ordinance 2015 (XXII of 2015), promulgated on 12th August 2015, for a further period of ninety days with effect from 10th November 2015.”

3.   MOTION UNDER RULE 127 OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PUNJAB, 1997.

            A MINISTER to move that leave be granted to move a Resolution under Article 128(2)(a) of the Constitution for extension of the Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab Ordinance 2015.

            A MINISTER to move the following Resolution:-

RESOLUTION

            “The Provincial Assembly of the Punjab extends the period of validity of the Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab Ordinance 2015 (XXV of 2015), promulgated on 24th August 2015, for a further period of ninety days with effect from 22 November 2015.”

4.   MOTION UNDER RULE 127 OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PUNJAB, 1997.

            A MINISTER to move that leave be granted to move a Resolution under Article 128(2)(a) of the Constitution for extension of the Punjab Pure Food (Amendment) Ordinance 2015.

            A MINISTER to move the following Resolution:-

RESOLUTION

            “The Provincial Assembly of the Punjab extends the period of validity of the Punjab Pure Food (Amendment) Ordinance 2015 (XXVI of 2015), promulgated on 24th August 2015, for a further period of ninety days with effect from 22 November 2015.”

(b)  CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILLS

1.         THE PUNJAB COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN (AMENDMENT) BILL 2015 (BILL No. 30 of 2015)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Commission on the Status of Women (Amendment) Bill 2015, as recommended by Standing Committee on Gender and Mainstreaming, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Commission on the Status of Women (Amendment) Bill 2015, be passed.

2.         THE PUNJAB MATERNITY BENEFITS (AMENDMENT) BILL 2015 (BILL No. 26 of 2015)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Maternity Benefits (Amendment) Bill 2015, as recommended by Standing Committee on Labour and Human Resource, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Maternity Benefits (Amendment) Bill 2015, be passed.

3.         THE UNIVERSITY OF OKARA BILL 2015 (BILL No. 25 of 2015)

            A MINISTER to move that the University of Okara Bill 2015, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the University of Okara Bill 2015, be passed.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour

Questions relating to Food Department were asked and Ch Muhammad Asad Ullah, Parliamentary Secretary for Food answered the questions.

Call Attention Notices

Three Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Call Attention Notice moved by Mian Tariq Mehmood kept pending on 7 September 2015 regarding dacoity of Rupees 1.3 million at UBL Bank located at Kala Gujjran, G.T Road, Jehlum and injuring Security Guard and the second Notice moved by Dr. Muhammad Afzal regarding murder of Mr Shahbaz, Imam Masjid of Lari Adda, Lahore by unknown killers were disposed of. The Notice moved by Mian Tahir Pervaiz regading dacoity occurred at Sargodha Road, Faisalabad, where dacoits injured Mr Zahid Khan on resistance and tortured his family members after entering their residence was kept pending.

Laying of Report

Ms. Raheela Anwar presented before the House the report of Standing Committee on Forestry and Fisheries in respect of “The Punjab Forest (Amendment) Bill 2015 (Bill No. 37 of 2015)”.

 

 

Privilege Motion

The Privilege Motion moved by Mian Mehmood ur Rashid regarding non-presentation of District Government Audit Reports for the years 2001-14 in Punjab Assembly even on the demand of Auditor General and Opposition Members was kept pending till next Session.

Adjournment Motions

Two Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mr Muhammad Nasir Cheema that contaminated potable water supply to the residents of Narang Mandi  due to worn out condition of water pipes is causing fatal diseases, was disposed of. The Motion moved by Mr Ehsan Riaz Fatyana that thousands of cases are pending in the Board of Revenue due to shortage of judicial members and staff, consequently citizens are facing problems especially coming from other cities to attend the hearing of their cases and get the next date of hearing on regular basis was kept pending till next session.

The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

The House was then adjourned sine die.
