Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Privilege Motion
The Privilege Motion moved by Ch. Amjad Ali Javed regarding giving wrong answer by the Labour & Human Resource Department to the question raised by the concerned Member was referred to the Committee on Privileges with the direction to submit its report within two months.
Adjournment Motions
Three Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mr. Ahmad Shah Khagga regarding Agriculture Department that has become white elephant where thousands of field advisors were appointed to acquaint farmers with modern research to help them to obtain improved yield are receiving salaries without performing their duties, the second Motion moved by Ms. Khadija Umar regarding use of tank water in restaurants of Lahore for drinking purpose, which is full of germs and a strong source of Hepatitis, were kept pending. The Motion moved by Mian Mehmood-ur-Rashid regarding C&W Department deceiving Punjab Government by submitting false report to the Chief Minister Punjab that Punjab Rural Roads Programme of 255 roads comprising 2200 KM distance has been completed in 32 districts of Punjab was disposed of.
The answers were given by the concerned Ministers/Parliamentary Secretaries.
Government Business Discussion and Voting on Demands for Grants 2016-2017
The Treasury presented 43 Demands for Grants and Opposition submitted six cut motions against the budget allocated for Police, Health Services, Education, Agriculture, Development and Miscellaneous Departments. Three Demands for grants in respect of Agriculture, Health Services and Development for the fiscal year 2016-17 were moved by Dr. Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Minister for Finance before the House for discussion. The Demand for Grant in respect of Health Services was kept pending due to absence of Minister for Health. While remaining Demands for Grants in respect of Agriculture and Development were taken up and were opposed by the Opposition through Cut Motions. The House passed Demands for Grants in respect of Agriculture and Development after lengthy discussion on the cut motions moved by the Opposition, which were rejected with majority votes.
Suspension of Rules:-
On a motion moved by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs under Rule 234 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, the House granted leave to suspend Rule 115 and others of the Rules ibid, for taking up the following unanimous Resolution.
Resolution:-
Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved the resolution condemning the killing of renowned Qawwal Amjad Fareed Sabri in Karachi which was passed by the House.
Fateha
The House offered Fateha on the sad demise of Mr. Amjad Fareed Sabri, Qawwal killed in Karachi and for all those who were killed in terrorist attacks.
The House was then adjourned to meet on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.

"یہ ایوان کراچی میں دہشت گردی کی حالیہ لہر، جس میں بے گناہ شہریوں کو قتل اور اغواء کیا جا رہا ہے، کی شدید ترین الفاظ میں مذمت کرتا ہے اور معروف قوال امجد فرید صابری کی شہادت پر شدید رنج و غم کا اظہار کرتا ہے اور دُعاگو ہے کہ اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ شہید کے درجات بلند فرمائے اور انہیں جنت الفردوس میں اعلیٰ مقام عطا فرمائے۔ یہ ایوان وفاقی اور صوبائی حکومتوں سے مطالبہ کرتا ہے کہ تمام تر وسائل بروئے کار لاتے ہوئے دہشت گردی کا ہمیشہ ہمیشہ کے لئے خاتمہ کیا جائے۔
پنجاب اسمبلی کا یہ ایوان نامور قوال امجد فرید صابری کے بہیمانہقتل کی پُرزور مذمت کرتے ہوئے سندھ حکومت اور قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں سے واقعہ میں ملوث ملزمان کی فوری گرفتاری کا مطالبہ کرتا ہے۔
یہ ایوان وفاقی / صوبائی حکومتوں اور تمام متعلقہ اداروں کی طرف سے دہشت گردی کے خلاف کی جانے والی کوششوں اور دی جانے والی قربانیوں پر ان کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتا ہے اور دہشت گردی کے خلاف کی جانے والی کارروائیوں کو مزید تیز کرنے پر زور دیتا ہے تاکہ ملک سے دہشت گردی کے ناسور کو جڑ سے اکھاڑ کر پھینکا جا سکے۔"
