1.   THE PUNJAB REVISION OF EMOLUMENTS OF PUBLIC REPRESENTATIVES BILL 2006 (Bill No.22 of 2006)

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the requirements of Rules 93, 94 and 95 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 may be dispensed with under Rule 234 of the Rules ibid, for the introduction, consideration and passage of the Punjab Revision of Emoluments of Public Representatives Bill 2006.

 

 

            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Revision of Emoluments of Public Representatives Bill 2006.

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Revision of Emoluments of Public Representatives Bill 2006 be taken into consideration at once.

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Revision of Emoluments of Public Representatives Bill 2006 be passed.

 

 

2.   THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL PUNJAB (AMENDMENT) BILL 2005 (Bill No.15 of 2005)

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the University of Central Punjab (Amendment) Bill 2005, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the University of Central Punjab (Amendment) Bill 2005 be passed.

            A MINISTER to move that the Societies Registration (Amendment) Bill 2006, as recommended by Standing Committee on Industries, be taken into consideration at once.

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Societies Registration (Amendment) Bill 2006 be passed.

 

 

4.   THE PUNJAB LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT) BILL 2006 (Bill No.5 of 2006)

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2006, as recommended by Standing Committee on Local Government and Rural Development, be taken into consideration at once.

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2006 be passed.

Ch. Muhammad Afzal Sahi, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

QUESTION HOUR:-

Questions relating to Revenue and Colonies (Board of Revenue) Departments were asked and answers were given respectively by Mr. Gul Hameed Khan Rokhri, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Consolidation and Mr. Manazir Hussain Ranjha, Minister for Colonies.

CALL ATTENTION NOTICES:-

Call Attention Notice moved by Mr. Tahir Akhtar Malik regarding murder of Rana Imamullah Khan, President (PPP Daska) and Mr. Farooq Shafi Mughal, Additional Secretary General (PPP) Sialkot, was answered by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.

Haji Muhammad Ejaz moved Call Attention Notice about killing of Lal Khan r/o Milli Town Ghaziabad Lahore, was replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.

PRIVILEGE MOTIONS:-

Total three Privilege Motions were taken up. Out of which Privilege Motion of Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas was disposed of due to his absence.

Privilege Motion moved by Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer against the Assistant Director Local Government Bahawalpur and District Coordination Officer Bahawalpur for their misconduct with the mover was held in order by the Chair and was referred to the Privilege Committee.

Privilege Motion moved by Rai Ejaz Ahmad against Deputy Superintendent Police and SHO Khanka Dogran and DIG Sheikhupura range was referred to the Privilege Committee.

ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS:-

Total five Adjournment Motions were taken up. Out of which Adjournment Motion moved by Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas was kept pending till next session due to absence of Mr. Tahir Ali Javed, Minister for Health.

Adjournment Motion moved by Haji Muhammad Ijaz was also kept pending till 4-7-2006. While Adjournment Motion of Mrs. Farzana Raja was disposed of due to her absence.

Adjournment Motion moved by Mrs. Zaib-ul-Nisa Qureshi about murder of Muhammad Ijaz, Head Constable, DSP (Traffic) by the dacoits at Madni Road Gujranwala was replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.

Adjournment Motion moved by Lala Shakeel-ur-Rehman, regarding killing of Union Council Nazim Maher Khalid by Jatt Group in Gujranwala was answered by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed of.

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-

Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs introduced the following bills, which were considered, debated and finally passed by the House.

1. The Punjab Revision of Emoluments of Public Representatives Bill 2006 (Bill No. 22 of 2006);

2. The Societies Registration (Amendment) Bill 2006 (Bill No.4 of 2006); and

3. The Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2006 (Bill No.5 of 2006).

“The University of Central Punjab (Amendment) Bill 2005 (Bill No.15 of 2005)” was withdrawn by Mian Imran Masood, Minister for Education.

GENERAL DISCUSSION:-

General discussion on “Thana Environment Reform Proposals” was left over to Wednesday, 5 July 2006.

The House was then adjourned till 10.00 am, on Tuesday 4 July, 2006.
