Sardar Shaukat Hussain Mazari, Acting Speaker, assumed the chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran.
QUESTION HOUR:-
Questions relating to ZAKAT &USHR AND EXICISE & TAXTATION DEPARTMENTS were asked and answers were given by Mian Khadim Hussain Wattoo alias Mr. Muhammad Akhtar Khadim and Dr Muhammad Shafique Chaudhry Minister’s for ZAKAT &USHR AND EXICISE & TAXTATION DEPARTMENTS.
EXTENSIONS GRANTED TO DIFFERENT COMMITIES
On a motions moved by Rai Ijaz Ahmad Khan, the house granted extensions in the time limit up to six months and ten months for laying the reports of the Public Accounts Committee-I for the years 1998-1999 and 2000-2001 respectively.
On a motion moved by Mr Najaf Abbas Sial , the House granted extension in the time limit up to 11 months for laying the report of the Public Accounts Committee II for the years 1999-2000
On a motion moved by Malik Nazar Farid Khokhar, the House granted extension in the time limit up to 28 February 2007 for laying the report of committee on Privileges regarding Privilege Motion Nos. 71, 72 of 2004, 38 & 58 of 2005 and 1, 2, 9,11,28,29,30,32,33,34, 41,42,43,44 and 46 of 2006.
On a motion moved by Rai Ahsan Raza the House granted extension in the time limit up to 31 December 2006 for laying the report of Standing Committee on Home on the Punjab Border Military Police (Amendment) Bill 2006 (Bill No.26 of 2006) and The Punjab Prevention of Domestic Violence Bill 2003 (Bill No.29 of 2003) moved by Dr Anjum Amjad, MPA (W-312).
Then the House was adjourned till 10:00 am on Tuesday, 21 November, 2006 due to sad demise of Assembly employee Muhammad Amin, lift attendant during office hour on 20-11-2006.
