Questions relating to Prison Department were asked and Mr. Zawar Hussain Warraich, Minister for Prison answered the questions.
Suspension of Rules
On a motion moved Sardar Muhammad Awais Dareshak under Rule 234 of Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, 1997, the House granted leave to suspend Rule 115 and other relevant Rules of the Rules ibid, for taking up the following Resolution:
Sardar Muhammad Awais Dareshak moved the Resolution demanded to construct Dual Carriage Way of Indus highway between Kashmore to Dera Ismail Khan, was unanimously passed by the House.
Call Attention Notice kept pending on 25 February 2019
The Notice moved by Mr. Zaheer Iqbal regarding dacoity at Muhammad Afzal house, where five dacoits looted money and took livestock animals along with them was disposed of after replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Currents Call Attention Notices
Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice moved by Ms. Shaheen Raza regarding death of Ms. Shakila Wajid and severe injury of Head Master of Government Elementary School Aroop, Gujranwala, due to the roof collapsed of the school and the other Notice moved by Mr. Muhammad Arshad Malik regarding looting 1.4 million rupees and injuring two persons by firing by the dacoits after withdrawing money from bank at Rahim Yar Khan city were disposed of after replied by Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
The Privilege Motion moved by Mr. Tariq Masih Gill regarding misbehavior of Dr. Atif, DO, with the member concerned was referred to the Committee on Privileges with the direction to submit its report within two months.
Five Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Ms. Mussarat Jamshed regarding use of harmful chemicals including mercury and steroids in cosmetics increasing cancer and skin diseases despite legislation is available on it, second Motion moved by Mr. Aman Ullah Warraich regarding illegal occupation of two kanals land of Government Girls High School, Ladaywala Warraich, Tehsil & District Gujranwala, third Motion moved by Sheikh Alla-ud-Din regarding Okara Textile Mill owners demanding fifty three crores and interest money for 24 acres land of Girls/Boys High School, Okara from Education Department claiming to be the owner of school and its attached land, notwithstanding, that the property could be acquired in public interest in terms of Acquisition Act, 1894 were disposed of after replied by the concerned Ministers. The Motion moved by Ms. Neelum Hayat Malik regarding vulgarity and sub-standard topics shown on TV dramas and the last Motion moved by Sheikh Alla-ud-Din regarding suggestion to reinstating LSMF course to counter quacks, which are playing with people lives, were kept pending.
Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs initiated general discussion on Annual Reports of Development Authorities of Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala and Faisalabad for the year 2012-13 in the House; however quorum was pointed out at 02:27 p.m. After ringing bells for five minutes the House was still inquorate and the Chair adjourned the House at 02:33 p.m. to meet on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 09:00 a.m.
