2. THE PUNJAB BOILERS AND PRESSURE VESSELS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 2017

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool ﷺ.
Question Hour
Questions relating to Local Government & Community Development Department were asked and Mr Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt, Minister for Local Government & Community Development answered the questions.
At this stage, Deputy Speaker welcomed the Parliamentary Chinese delegation to the august House.
Privilege Motion
The Privilege Motion moved by Mr. Khurram Shehzad blaming the defeated candidate of PML-N Khawaja Muhammad Islam Ex-MPA (PP-72) Faisalabad for impersonating himself as MPA by using forged letter pad to get the development schemes of the said constituency approved from the office of Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad, was kept pending till next week.
Adjournment Motion
Three Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Adjournment Motion of Ch Ashraf Ali Ansari regarding non-provision of basic health facilities in THQ Hospital Kamoke which caters almost 0.8 million population, where neither doctors are available nor medicines are provided to the patients, the second Motion moved by Dr. Murad Rass regarding inability of Taunsa Sharif Agriculture graduates to get occupation of 9400 kanals agricultural land despite its allotment 7 years back by the Punjab Government and the last Motion moved by Mr Asif Mehmood regarding forceful occupation of expensive land in Rawalpindi by Albarak Turkish Company deputed on the cleanliness of the city and to whom land was handed over in the official capacity, was kept pending till next week.
At this stage, quorum was pointed out at 12:56 p.m. After ringing bells for five minutes, the quorum was completed and the proceedings of the House started.
Government Business
Laying of Ordinances
Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs laid before the House the following ordinances which were referred to the concerned Standing Committees with the direction to submit its reports within two months.
1. THE PUNJAB SHEHR-E-KHAMOSHAN AUTHORITY ORDINANCE 2017; and
2. THE PUNJAB BOILERS AND PRESSURE VESSELS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 2017.
Zero Hour
The Motion moved by Mr Ghulam Murtaza regarding allocation of insufficient monthly grant for the payment of salaries and pension to local council Haroonabad and Bahawalnagar, due to which salaries and pension have not been paid to the serving and retired employees for many months, was kept pending till next week.
The House was then adjourned at 01:08 p.m. to meet on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
