A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill 2018.

(B) LAYING OF REPORTS
ANNUAL ACTIVITY REPORTS OF THE PARKS AND HORTICULTURE AUTHORITY FAISALABAD, MULTAN, GUJRANWALA, LAHORE, BAHAWALPUR AND RAWALPINDI FOR THE YEAR 2015-16
A MINISTER to lay the Annual Activity Reports of the Parks and Horticulture Authority Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Lahore, Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi for the year 2015-16.

Fateha
The House offered Fateha on the sad demise of Rana Nisar Muhammad Khan, father of Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan, MNA and uncle of Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker.
At this stage the Speaker adjourned the proceedings for ten minutes at 09:59 a.m. because the Secretary Local Government & Community Development had not yet arrived. The House resumed at 10:17 a.m.
Question Hour
Questions relating to Local Government and Community Development Department were asked and Mr. Ramzan Siddique Bhatti, Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government & Community Development answered the questions.
Laying of Report
Mr. Munawar Ahmed Gill presented before the House the report of Standing Committee on Law in respect of “The Limitation (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2018 (Bill No. 8 of 2018)”.
Suspension of Rules
On a motion moved by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs under Rule 234 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, the House granted leave to suspend Rule 115 and others of the Rules ibid, for taking up the following Resolution:
Resolution
Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved a resolution “This House of Punjab Assembly expresses sorrow and grief over the demise of noted jurist Ms Asma Jahangir and condoles with the bereaved family. The deceased was not only a bold and a courageous lawyer but also a prominent human rights activist whose services have been acknowledged not only in Pakistan but across the world. She has the honour to serve as President of the Supreme Court Bar Association. The Government of Pakistan has also awarded her Hilal-e-Imtiaz for her struggle for the supremacy of constitution, rule of law and principles and strengthening democratic norms, was passed by the House”. The House also offered Fateha on her sad demise.
Adjournment Motion
The Adjournment Motion moved by Ms. Khadija Umar demanding to constitute a technical committee to inquire that the air pointers purchased for rupees 10.2 million and installed at six different places of Lahore to measure environmental pollution and to take appropriate steps to control it are not providing accurate data, was kept pending.

Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs introduced the following Bills, which were referred to their concerned Standing Committees with the direction to submit their reports within two months:

At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and the House was adjourned at 11:41 a.m. to meet on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 02:00 p.m.

مرحومہ نہایت نڈر اور جرات مند وکیل رہنما ہونے کے ساتھ ساتھ فعال سماجی کارکن اور انسانی حقوق کی علمبردار بھی تھیں۔ مرحومہ کو سپریم کورٹ بار ایسوسی ایشن کی صدر ہونے کا اعزاز بھی حاصل ہے۔ ان کی زندگی دستور کی بالادستی، قانون کی پاسداری، اصولوں کی حکمرانی اور جمہوری اقدار کی سربلندی کے لئے جدوجہد میں گزری، جس پر حکومت پاکستان نے انہیں ہلال امتیاز بھی عطا کیا تھا۔ ان کی خدمات کو نہ صرف پاکستان بلکہ بین الاقوامی سطح پر بھی قدر کی نگاہ سے دیکھا جاتا تھا۔
یہ ایوان ان کے درجات کی بلندی کے لئے دُعاگو ہے۔"
