Questions relating to Communication & Works Department were asked and answered by Sardar Muhammad Asif Nakai, the concerned Minister.
Adjournment Motions
Eight Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion of Mr. Arshad Malik moved on 23-04-2019 that due to non-availability of agricultural policy, the farmers growing potatoes are being financially exploited, four Motions of Mr. Muhammad Safdar Shakir one moved on 24-12-2019 regarding dilapidated condition of two overhead bridges constructed on a drainage passing between Faisalabad City from Town Committee Mamu Kanjan which could collapse at any time, the second Motion moved on 27-12-2019 regarding devastating condition of two roads in PP-104 in the constituency of the Member concerned, one road from Zafar Chowk, Tehsil Sumundari to Kamalia, District Toba Tak Singh and the second road from Adda Muridwala, Tehsil Sumundari to Town Committee, Mamu Kanjan, Tehisil Tandiawala, the third Motion moved on 30-12-2019 regarding dilapidated condition of overhead bridge located at Zafar Chowk Tehsil Samundri District Faisalabad resulting in traffic jams and accidents and the fourth Motion moved on 08-06-2020 regarding non-availability of machinery for cleaning sewerage pipeline in Constituency of the Member concerned i.e PP-104 Town Committee, Mamun Kanjan, District Faisalabad resulting in accumulation of filthy water in the streets causing various diseases, the Motion of Mr. Muhammad Waris Shad moved on 29-01-2020 regarding severe attack by grass hoppers on crops in different Districts of Punjab, as it happened in Sindh and Balochistan and inability of Punjab Government to take proper action/steps for its eradication and the Motion of Syed Hassan Murtaza moved on 24-02-2020 regarding inability of Police to take action against the culprits illegally and forcefully seizing plots allotted to Journalists at Journalist Colony Harbanspura Lahore rather police was encouraging them in their crime, were disposed of after replied by the concerned Ministers. The Motion moved by Syed Hassan Murtaza regarding notification issued by Colonies Department, Government of the Punjab, in terms of which Government land allotted to tenants within prohibited zone would be taken back and re-auctioned in the times when the country was in extreme crisis due to Corona and locust attack and tenants were suffering from critical financial conditions, hence, there agreement should be extended for three years, was kept pending.
Extension in Time Limit for Submission/Laying of Reports
On a Motion moved by Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari, Chairman, Public Accounts Committee-II, the House granted one year extension to Public Accounts Committee-II for submitting its reports on Accounts of the Government of Punjab and Auditor General of Pakistan which were referred to it during May 2019.

Introduction of Bill
Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs introduced The Punjab Commission on the Status of Women (Amendment) Bill 2020, which was referred to the Standing Committee on Gender Mainstreaming with the direction to submit its report within two months.
General Discussion
General Discussion on Agriculture and Food was initiated and concluded by Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial, Minister for Agriculture. Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Ms Aysha Iqbal, Mr Muhammad Arshad Javed, Syed Hassan Murtaza and Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari participated in the discussion.
The House was then adjourned to meet on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 02:00 p.m.
