2.   LAYING OF SUPPLEMENTARY SCHEDULE OF AUTHORIZED EXPENDITURE FOR THE YEAR 2020-2021

 

            A MINISTER to lay the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the year 2020-2021.

Discussion and Voting on Supplementary Demands for Grants 2020-2021:-

The Treasury presented 39 Supplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2020-21 and the Opposition submitted one cut motion against the budget allocated for Police. Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht, Minister for Finance moved Supplementary Demand for Grant as mentioned above for discussion. The said demand for grant was later voted upon and the Cut Motion moved by the Opposition Members was rejected with majority and the grant was passed.  

The outstanding supplementary demands for grants were passed by the House in terms of Rule 144 (4) of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, 1997.

Laying of the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the year 2020-21.

Minister for Finance laid the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the year 2020-21.

Sardar Usman Ahmed Khan Buzdar, Chief Minister Punjab delivered a concluding speech. He thanked and paid tributes to Mr Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Members Punjab Assembly, Members of Cabinet, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Minister for Finance and the entire team. He stated that all parliamentarians played their democratic role in the discussion and approval of provincial budget; which was pro-masses, pro-farmers and pro-workers and the best in the provincial history because for the first time budget allocation for South Punjab was prepared separately.

The Speaker then prorogued the House at 07:02 p.m.
