Ms Atiya Iftikhar moved a motion that on her request to reassign a prosecutor back to Gujranwala which was arrogantly turned down by Secretary Prosecution Punjab and retaliated against prosecutor with a show-cause notice.

Mr Walayat Shah moved a motion regarding CEO Education Sahiwal behaving disrespectfully towards elected officials, refusing to cooperate on matters of public importance and raising concerns about his suitability for an administrative role.

2.

Ms Mehwish Sultana moved a motion that while banning speed breakers on highways is logical, the policy should allow exceptions in densely populated village areas with schools to prevent frequent accidents.

3.

Mr Ahmad Khan moved a motion that Punjab's prisons are dangerously overcrowded and housing nearly double their capacity, causing severe health issues among inmates, especially due to smog.

Pended for reply by the Minister concerned.

4.

Mr Shaukat Raja moved a motion that without any legal basis, ancestral land transfers in Potohar are unjustly restricted, causing deep unrest due to selective enforcement of land digitization policies.

Pended for reply by the Minister concerned.

5.

Mr Muhammad Shoaib Siddiqui moved a motion that Punjab's only free kidney transplant service at Jinnah Hospital has been shut down, leaving thousands of poor patients without life-saving treatment and no affordable options.

Introduction of Bill

·         Mr Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, introduced the Punjab Revision of Salaries of Public Representatives Bill 2024.

 

Suspension of Rules

·         Mr Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, moved a motion for suspension of Rules for immediate consideration of the Punjab Revision of Salaries of Public Representatives Bill 2024. The motion was carried.

 

Consideration and Passage of Bill

·         Mr Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, moved a motion for consideration of the said Bill; the motion was carried. 

·         Mr Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs moved a motion for passage of the said Bill 2024; the bill was passed by the Assembly.

RESOLUTIONS

·         Ms Raheela Khadim Hussain moved a resolution that Punjab Assembly commemorates the 2014 APS Peshawar tragedy, condemns terrorism, honors the martyrs and their families, and calls for stern action against terrorists. The resolution was unanimously adopted by the House.

 

GENERAL DISCUSSION

General discussion on Law & Order was held. Mr Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, initiated the discussion. EXTENSION IN LAYING OF REPORTS

Mr Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, moved following motions for:

میں یہ قرار داد پیش کرتی ہوں کہ 10 سال قبل 16 دسمبر 2014 کو پشاور میں آرمی پبلک سکول پر دہشت گردوں نے حملہ کیا جس کے نتیجے میں 122 معصوم اور بے گناہ بچوں کو شہید کر کے ظلم و بربریت کی بدترین داستان رقم کی۔یہ ایوان سمجھتا ہے کہ ایسے سانحات پاکستان کے خلاف سازش ہیں، دہشت گرد ہمارے حوصلے پست نہیں کر سکتے ، ایسے واقعات سے قوم کو خوف زدہ نہیں کیا جا سکتا، یہ ایوان قرار دیتا ہے کہ دہشت گرد کسی رعایت کے مستحق نہیں ہیں، اور ان کے خلاف سخت سے سخت کاروائی کی جائے، یہ ایوان اس دل خراش واقعہ میں دلیری کا مظاہرہ کرنے والے اساتذہ کو زبر دست خراج تحسین پیش کرتا ہے یہ ایوان سانحہ آرمی پبلک سکول میں شہید ہونے والے بچوں کے والدین سے اظہار یک جہتی کرتا ہے اور ان کے حوصلہ کو سراہتا ہے، یہ ایوان اس سانحہ کے شہدا کے لئے بلند درجات کے لئے دعا گو ہے۔
