Mr Gul Hameed Khan Rokhri son of Mr Ghulam Haider Khan was born on January 1, 1936 at Mianwali. He is a gold medalist in M.Sc. from American National College, Lahore and is also a law graduate. A practising lawyer, who served as Vice Chairman District Council Mianwali during 1965-69 and as Chairman District Council Mianwali during 1983-87. He remained Member West Pakistan Assembly during 1965-69; and Member Punjab Assembly during 1985-88 and 1988-90. Although he returned again to Punjab Assembly in 1990 but vacated his seat and served as Member National Assembly during 1990-93. He also functioned as Advisor to Chief Minister during 1986-88 and as Minister for Food, Punjab during 1989-90. He has once again returned to the Punjab Assembly winning the General Elections 2002 from two constituencies (PP-44 and PP-45). Presently, he is functioning as Minister for Revenue, Relief and Consolidation since January 4, 2003. He has visited Japan, Malaysia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Portugal both as Leader and Member of Parliamentary delegations during 1976-1992. His uncle, Mr Amir Abdullah Khan Rokhri was a vetern politician who remained Member Punjab Assembly, Member National Assembly and Senator. His cousin, Mr Aamer Hayat Khan Rokhri, is a sitting Member of Punjab Assembly (PP-44).
