Rai Ijaz Ahmed Khan son of Rai Ahmed Hassan Khan was born on December 20, 1952 at Kamalia, Toba Tek Singh. He obtained the degrees of M.A. (Urdu) in 1974, M.A. (Pol. Science) and LL.B. in 1976 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. He served as Chairman Union Council during 1983-87 and as Member District Council during 1987-91. He was first elected Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in 1993 and functioned as Advisor to Chief Minister during 1993-94 and as Minister for Forests during 1995-96. He has been re-elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002 as an independent candidate. His brother Rai Ahmed Saeed was Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1985-88.
