The following Annual Calendar for the sessions of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 4th Parliamentary Year 2016-2017, received from the Law & Parliamentary Affairs Department vide their letter No.PA:04-10/2013/3435 dated 17th June 2016, duly approved by the Chief Minister, Punjab in terms of rule 33A of the Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, 1997, is circulated under rule 33A(2) of the Rules ibid:

1. As per sub-rule (3) of rule 33A of the Rules ibid, the Assembly shall be summoned on the dates given in the calendar but the Governor may summon the Assembly on a date other than that mentioned in the calendar.
2. As per sub-rule (4) of the said rule, nothing contained in this rule shall limit the power of the Speaker to summon a requisitioned session of the Assembly to meet at any time under clause (3) of Article 54 read with Article 127.
