Col (Retd) Muhammad Abbas Chaudhry son of Ch Shamas-ud-Din (late) was born on March 1, 1948 at Shakargarh. He obtained the degree of B.Sc. (Civil Engineering) in 1981. He was a Member of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07, and also functioned as Parliamentary Secretary for Communications & Works. He has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in general elections 2008. He has travelled to UK, Schengen States, USA, UAE and Saudi Arabia. His brother, Mr Muhammad Tariq Anis remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1988-90 and 1993-96; and is a sitting MNA, functioning as Federal Minister of State for Housing and Works.
