Mrs Kaneez Akhtar wife of Mr Muhammad Ishaque was born on September 21, 1945 at Faisalabad. She passed Intermediate in 1965 and CT (Home Economics) in 1966 from Rawalpindi. She served as Member, District Council Faisalabad during 1997-99 and has been serving as Member, District Consumer Protection Council District Faisalabad since 2006. She is a writer and ocassionally writes columns in different newspapers. A Social worker and a free lancer writer, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2013 against one of the seats reserved for women. She has authored a book titled “Adhore Khawab” comprising fictions is to her credit. She has visited Germany and Saudi Arabia.
