Personal Career & Interests

Malik Muhammad Zahoor Anwar son of Malik Alam Noor was born on July 26, 1938 at village Kot Qazi, Tehsil Lawa, District Chakwal. He obtained the degree of B.Sc in 1958 from Government College, Lahore and graduated in law in 1960 from University Law College, University of the Punjab, Lahore. He obtained Diploma in Public Administration from University of Delft, Holland; and numerous diplomas and certificates from various international universities while in service. Before coming into politics, he was a Member of Central Superior Services and served Government of Pakistan in various capacities including Development Commissioner/Commissioner, Northern Areas during 1980-84; as Senior Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary in Ministry of Communications during 1987-98; and, as Additional Secretary in the Ministries of Environment & Labour during 1997-2000. He has extensively travelled abroad on official visits. He served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2008-13 and has returned to the Assembly for the second consecutive term in general elections 2013.
