Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.
Col (R) Ghazanfar Abbas Shah son of Mr Mohammad Nawaz Shah was born on June 4, 1962 at Jhang. He graduated in 1982 from Pakistan Military Academy and obtained the degree of B.Sc (Hons) in 1994 from Command & Staff College Quetta Balochistan University. He served in Pakistan Army during 1982-2005 and retired as Lieutenant Colonel. A retired Army Officer, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2018 and served as Parliamentary Secretary for Colonies. He has travelled to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Thailand. His uncle, Mr Akhtar Ali Shah remained Member, Provincial Assembly of West Pakistan during 1965-69.
