Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.
Malik Khalid Mehmood Babar son of Malik Qadir Bakhsh was born on January 1, 1970 at Dhoor Koot, District Bahawalpur and graduated from University of the Punjab, Lahore. An agriculturist, who served as Member, District Council Bahawalpur during 1998; as Nazim, Union Council Dhoor Koot, Bahawalpur during 2000; as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07, 2013-18 and served as Advisor to Chief Minister during 2004-07 as Chairman, Standing Committee on Excise & Taxation during 2017-18. He has returned to Punjab Assembly for the third term in General Elections 2018. His father was Member, Punjab Assembly during 1990-93; his grandfather, Malik Ahmad Yar Waran remained Member of Punjab Assembly during 1985-88 and 1988-90. His uncle, Malik Aamir Waran was MNA during 2002-07 and 2008-10 and also served as Parliamentary Secretary; his paternal aunt Mrs Khadija Waran remained Member National Assembly during 2010-13; and his cousin, Malik Jahanzeb Waran also served as Member Punjab Assembly during 2008-13 and was Parliamentary Secretary for CMIT.
