Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.

Personal Career & Interests

Ch Iftikhar Ahmad Bhangoo son of Haji Faqir Muhammad Bhangoo was born on January 1, 1947 at Marh Bhangwan, Sheikhupura. He is a Matriculate. He remained Member, District Council Sheikhupura for two consecutive terms i.e. during 1979-83 and 1983-87; and Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab for two consecutive terms i.e. during 1985-88 and 1988-90. An agriculturist, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab for the third term in bye-elections held on October 16, 2022 against the seat fell vacant due to resignation tendered by Mian Jalil Ahmed Sharaqpuri. Ch Iftikhar Ahmad Bhangoo made an oath as a Member Punjab Assembly on 26 October, 2022. His son, Mr Bilal Iftikhar Bhangoo remained Nazim, Union Council, Sebjowal and Marh Bhangwan, District Sheikhupura during 2001-05 and 2005-08 respectively.
