Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.
Syed Khawar Ali Shah son of Syed Mohammad Nawaz Shah was born on July 5, 1945 at Jallandhar. He obtained the degree of MBBS in 1967 from Nishtar Medical College, Multan. He served as Member, Provincial Assembly of Punjab during 1977, 1985-88, 1988-90, 1990-93, 1997-99 and as Member Majlis-e-Shoora during 1982-85. An agriculturist, who remained in Medical profession for 51 years during 1967-2018. He has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the sixth term in General Elections 2018. He has extensively travelled abroad. His cousin, Syed Fakhar Imam a sitting MNA, remained Member National Assembly during 1985-88, 1990-93, 1997-99 and functioned as Speaker National Assembly during 1985-86 and as Federal Minister. His son-in-law, Syed Basit Sultan remained Member National Assembly during 2002-07 and as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1997-99 and 2010-13.
