Mr Amir Hayat Hiraj son of Mehar Umar Hayat Hiraj was born on January 2, 1982 at Khanewal. He graduated in 2005 from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. He served as Relationship Manager in ABN AMRO Bank during 2006-07. He was elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in 2008 and functioned as Chairman, Standing Committee on Food during 2008-13. He has functioned as Parliamentary Secretary for Mines & Minerals during 2013-18. An agriculturist, who has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the third term in general elections 2024. He has travelled to Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, UAE, Turkey, Austria, Romania, UK, Nepal, Oman, Dubai Sri Lanka, Maldeives, with Delegation to China on CPEC and with Delegation to Philipine on Agriculture. His uncle, Haji Khizar Hayat Hiraj served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1997-99. He is also working as an Acting Chairman of Punjab Food Authority.
