 1.         THE DRUGS (PUNJAB AMENDMENT) BILL 2018

             A MINISTER to introduce the Drugs (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2018.

             A MINISTER to move that the requirements of rules 94 and 95 and all other relevant rules of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 may be suspended under rule 234 of the said Rules, for immediate consideration of the Drugs (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2018.

             A MINISTER to move that the Drugs (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2018, be taken into consideration at once.

             A MINISTER to move that the Drugs (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2018, be passed.

 2.         THE PUNJAB LEGAL AID BILL 2018

             A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Legal Aid Bill 2018.

 2.         THE PUNJAB GOVERNMENT SERVANTS HOUSING FOUNDATION (AMENDMENT) BILL 2018 (BILL No. 16 of 2018)

             A MINISTER to move that the requirements of Rule 95 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 may be dispensed with under Rule 234 of the said rules, for immediate consideration of the Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation (Amendment) Bill 2018.

           A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation (Amendment) Bill 2018, as recommended by Standing Committee on Service & General Administration, be taken into consideration at once.

Mr. Muhammad Naeem Akhtar Khan Bhabha, Minister for Agriculture, Rana Muhammad Afzal, Parliamentary Secretary for Home and Mr Akmal Saif Chatha, Parliamentary Secretary for Environment Protection answered the questions.

(a)     Introduction of Bill

Mr. Khalil Tahir Sandhu, Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs introduced before the House “The Punjab Fertilizers Bill 2018”, which was referred to the Standing Committee on Agriculture with the direction to submit its report up to 28th May, 2018.

(b)     Introduction, Consideration and Passage of Bills

Suspension of Rules

On separate motions moved by Mr. Khalil Tahir Sandhu, Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs, the House granted leave to suspend rules 94 and 95 and all other relevant rules of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, 1997, under Rule 234 of the Rules ibid, for immediate consideration and passage of the following Bills after their introduction, which were later passed by the House:-

1.         THE DRUGS (PUNJAB AMENDMENT) BILL 2018;

2.         THE PUNJAB LEGAL AID BILL 2018; and

3.         THE PUNJAB CRIMINAL PROSECUTION SERVICE INSPECTORATE BILL 2018.

(c)               Consideration and Passage of Bills

Suspension of Rules

On separate motions moved by Mr. Khalil Tahir Sandhu, Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs, the House granted leave to suspend rule 95 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, 1997, under Rule 234 of the Rules ibid, for immediate consideration of the following Bills, as recommended by the concerned Standing Committees, which were later passed by the House:

1.         THE PUNJAB GOVERNMENT SERVANTS HOUSING FOUNDATION (AMENDMENT) BILL 2018 (BILL No. 16 of 2018);

2.         THE PUNJAB UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY RASUL BILL 2018 (BILL No. 22 of 2018); and

3.         THE PUNJAB BONDED LABOUR SYSTEM (ABOLITION) (AMENDMENT) BILL 2018 (BILL No. 19 of 2018).

Laying of Report
