Personal Career & Interests

Ch Awais Qasim Khan son of Ch Ghulam Ahmad Khan of Rupo Chak was born on August 19, 1969 at Sialkot. He did his graduation from F.C College, Lahore in 1989. An agriculturist, who served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2008-13 and has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in general elections 2013. He has visited UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE, USA, Malaysia and Thailand. His father, served as Member Punjab Assembly during 1985-88, 1990-93 (Parliamentary Secretary for Revenue), 1993-96 and 1997-99; his uncle, Ch Muhammad Sarwar Khan of Rupo Chak was Member of Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1951-55; a Member of Provincial Assembly of West Pakistan during 1965-69 and a Member of National Assembly during 1985-88, 1990-93, 1993-96, 1997-99 and functioned as Chairman, Standing Committee of National Assembly on Kashmir Affairs during 1997-99.
