Consequent upon the advice of the Chief Minister, Punjab to the Governor of the Punjab under clause (1) of Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab stands dissolved on 14 January 2023 at 2210 hours at the expiration of forty-eight hours after the Chief Minister has so advised.
Mr Ali Abbas son of Malik Abbas Khokhar was born on January 5, 1972 at Okara. He graduated in 1994 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. An agriculturist, who served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2008-13, 2013-18 and has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the third consecutive term in General Elections 2018. His father remained Member, Punjab Assembly for four terms during 1985-88 (Parliamentary Secretary for Housing, Physical & Environmental Planning), 1990-93 (Parliamentary Secretary for Home and Prisons), 1993-96 and 1997-99. His uncle, Malik Nazar Farid Khokar served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and functioned as Chairman, Committee on Privileges during 2003-07.
